About Us
Our Roots
More than three decades ago, a group of inspired community members started the organization that is now known as the Southern California Service Corps. They believed that their peers deserved more ways to be involved in their community and worked to create opportunities that fit their lifestyles.
The numbers of engaged volunteers, innovative programs, and community leaders have grown tremendously in the years since we began. What has not changed is the fundamental belief that the energy, diversity, and dedication of our communities' volunteers can be a tremendous, positive force in our region & world.

With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new ways to connect people with opportunities in making a difference.
Our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact in the lives of our community members by staying connected, informed and available. We have a variety of community partners ready and willing to host volunteers at one time or ongoing events.

Community
Based Organizations
Many nonprofit and faith-based & community organizations find our Court Referred
Community Service Program (CRCS), a wonderful means to accomplish a variety of tasks, such as sorting donations, landscaping or data entry, just to name a few. Our CRCS volunteers help agencies complete tasks that could not otherwise be done due to staffing, time or budgetary constraints. Many clients have continued to volunteer after the completion of their required hours or have secured full-time employment at their placements.

At our Service Corps, we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. Mentoring is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.
We host our own Mentoring Arts and Culture Program, and, we are connected to a variety of community organizations that host great youth mentoring opportunities.
